This incredible bar is by far the largest T bar I have ever come across. It is 52mm long by 7mm in diameter, so simple in design but absolutely unmissable due to its size, as can be seen by the comparison photos with my more regular finds. There was no hallmark on it when I bought it, but it was sent to the Sheffield Assay Office and now bears a sponsors mark of SAO (for the Sheffield Assay office) and a full hallmark for 9ct gold, with a datemark of 2023. Obviously this piece is older than that, but I am unable to date it more accurately.
The weight is 21.68g so it will need a very substantial chain to display it without fear of breakage.
