This striking five stone delight is really worthy of a closer look. The five oval stones are enhanced by the ornate gold setting and although it is a small size it is proportioned to give a strong design on the hand. The setting overall is 8mm wide. The shank bears a sponsor or makers mark of PSL alongside the hallmark for 9ct gold, having been assayed in London in 1980.
The stones display some colour zoning and at certain angles one of the outer stones has a pale spot, this is not a fault, just part of the stones natural make up. It is less easy to spot when in use than on some of the photos here on pale backgrounds.
The weight is 2.56g.
