This classic part engraved oval signet ring is made by the well known Henry Griffith & Sons and certainly has a quality to it which is easier felt than described. The cartouche is 11mm x 10mm and there is the makers mark HG & S along with a full UK hallmark for 9ct gold, dating to 1978.
The size is a UK K 1/2 or a US 5 3/4, weight is 2.94g.
