This head turning little piece showcases a marquise or navette mystic topaz of 15mm by 6mm. The stone has been surface treated which is why you see the colour variation, this is a conversation starter if ever there was one. You get peaches and pinks, but flashes of rainbow colours at certain points too. It’s fascinating. The setting also has four tiny diamonds which are illusion set in the overall setting of 18mm by 11mm. There is a full hallmark inside the shank, having been assayed as 9ct gold by the Birmingham assay office in 2007.
