This pretty moonstone ring is in an unusual marquise or navette shaped frame 9ct gold setting, which is certainly an eye catcher. I do like how the stone give flashes of blue as it moves. The stone is 10mm x 7mm, with the overall setting being 16mm x 11mm. There is a hallmark indicating Birmingham and dating to 1970. The design in certainly in keeping with other W & G pieces that I have, so I suspect that is the maker.
The size is a UK L or a US 6 1/4, weight is 2.84g.
In this instance there is some age related wear to the stone upon close inspection. This cannot be felt and I dont think detracts from the piece, but can be seen on my enlarged photos as attached.
