Here we have a tidy little signet ring which would suit a wide age range. I could see this as a ladies ring or equally it would work for a gent and it would make a super pinky ring. Hematite is reputed to be a protection stone which absorbs negative energy energy and calms stress or worry. This sentiment behind the stone makes it a perfect gift idea for a loved one. Personally I just like the metallic sheen to the stone and I am happy to accept the benefits as a bonus 🙂
The stone is 10mm by 8mm with the overall setting being 12mm at the widest point. The shank has a maker or sponsors mark of AJ and Co, alongside a hallmark for 9ct gold. The ring was assayed in Birmingham, and although the specific date mark is obscured, the hallmark can be narrowed down to 1975-1998.
The weight is 2.75g.
