Gosh, this is a breathtaking piece. Here is a marvellous vibrant pink synthetic ruby (or pink sapphire if you prefer) which initially catches the eye, but on closer inspection you realise it is actually in an eight pointed star or octagram. The fluted setting showcases the stone to perfection, it is just the most fabulous party ring. The stone is 10m in diameter with the overall setting being 14mm. There is a sponsor or makers mark of which I cant quite decipher the third letter, EFG perhaps. There is a full hallmark for 9ct gold, having been assayed in Birmingham in 1960.
The shank is very slightly oval, it is may fit one size larger than listed.
The weight is 3.51g.
