This unusual garnet is extremely flattering to wear. The elongated shape lengthens the finger and the design draws attention to the hand. The stone itself is 10mm by 6mm with the overall setting being 16mm by 13mm. The shank bears a sponsor or makers mark of S&Co alongside a full hallmark for 9ct gold, having been assayed in Birmingham in 1966.
