This signet ring instantly caught my eye as the onyx is set East to West which is less usual than the alternative North to South option. This would work for a lady or a gent, I think it would make a great pinky ring. The stone is 8mm high by 10mm wide, with the overall widest point of the setting being 10mm.
There is a full clear hallmark indicating 9ct gold and it was assayed in Birmingham in 1967. The weight is 4.07g.
