This substantial signet ring displays a piece of Blue John which is produced solely in Derbyshire in England. The stone itself is 14mm by 5mm, with the overall setting being 7mm wide. This fine example was created by the well known jewellers C W Sellors who are based close to that area.
The shank carries not only their makers mark but also a full hallmark by the nearby Sheffield assay office and dating to 1988. The weight is 7.30g.
