Time Period: 1970s
Material: 9ct Yellow Gold
Theme: Animals, Vehicles
This slightly demonic looking pig is somehow cute and a bit scary at the same time! This dapper boar wears a hat and a bow tie and is sat in a pedal car with his little trotters on the floor underneath it. This is a fun quirky piece but the addition of red to his eyes and nose gives him quite a fierce look. I wonder who upset him? He is 30mm high from hat to wheel, 20mm from the bonnet or trunk to his tail and 13mm across the axles. He has a sponsor or makers mark of PPLd and a full hallmark for 9ct gold, having been assayed in Birmingham in 1970.
The weight is 9.29g.
