It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of amethyst and I’m also vey partial to these buttercup settings on vintage rings too. This design allows so much light around the stone and enables it to show off in the best possible way. The oval stone is 12mm by 10mm, with the overall setting being 15mm by 13mm. The maker or sponsors mark is G&TJ alongside a full hallmark for 9ct gold, having been assayed in London in 1978.
The weight is 3.32g.
