This popular boat shape design can be found in many variations, and little work better than rubies and diamonds I will wager. In this instance we have three vibrant rubies, the largest of which is 4mm diameter, and separating each is a pair of sparkly diamonds. These stones work to maximum effect within the warm buttery yellow 18ct gold. The ring is 96mm at its widest point.
Inside the shank is the makers mark HLB for Harris Leon Brown (whose family are still trading today as H L Brown in Sheffield). There is also a full hallmark indicating 18ct gold, having been assayed in Sheffield in 1909.
The weight is 3.85g.
