This is certainly a noticeable look for a small ring. It is such a big stone that covers the entire width of the finger, in fact from the front you almost don’t realise there are also broad shoulders to the ring. Unisex in design, this would be a perfect ladies signet ring, or equally a low profile gents pinky ring. The onyx stone is 15mm by 13mm with the overall setting being 18mm at the widest point. There is a hallmark for 9ct gold, having been assayed in London in 1976.
The shank is slightly oval, but it does not affect the wearer. The weight is 3.72g.
