I shall warn you now, this ring will distract you! A synthetic pink ruby (or sapphire depending on your viewpoint) which displays a star as the cabachon reflects the light. It does show even in fairly soft light (better than the photos show) but the star really pops under bright lights or sunshine. You will find yourself playing with it – I certainly did! The stone is 10mm x 7mm and the overall setting is 13mm x 11mm.
The shank has a very faint hallmark but is also stamped 375 indicating 9ct gold. The weight is 3.68g.
