This timeless signet ring in common with many of its age has a slight pink tint to the hallmarked 9ct gold. The 13mm by 11mm cartouche has had initials at some point in its past, but there is now only the vaguest hint of what they may have been. Inside however, is a different story. The name Elsie is clearly visible and as the ring dates to 1938, was this the way of a soldier keeping his sweetheart close?
